James 3:5 (NIV)
"the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark."

Today marks the 9th day of this group and we are building the website piece by piece. We now have an illustrative sample of what we want the churches to distribute to their own donors. Items in bold are criteria that we consider mandatory.

We want to make it as easy as we can for churches to achieve financial transparency and honesty, and show them how it's done.

If you are afraid to be yourself, are they really friends?
Are you really you?
Do they love you or your mask?

Let us be mindful of what our prayers might entail...

"only dead men can tell the truth in this world. It can be published after I am dead."

What is our treasure?
Where is our heart?
and what is holding us back?

(Luke 18:10-15)
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Introducing the Launch of Tithepayers For Transparency.  Our Mission is to restore Financial Honesty to our churches in 2 ways:

1-- Put Our Money Where Your Mouth Is!
We demand all churches who call themselves Christian to stop investing in any company involved in sweatshop labor, arms manufacturing, or fossil fuels.

2-- We want to Know!
We want to know the percentages of how much goes to the poor, and what percentage goes to salaries, and demand this info be available to their own donors.
